Joe sounds pretty good, though his vocals sound like typical…Joe. That’s my only qualm with Joe these days, but there hasn’t been a lot of change in his voice, though it hasn’t gotten worse either! LOL! I really hate though people who rock the bald head with the sideburns. It just looks foolish. But I digress LOL.
This cover is taken from the tribute album Silky Soul Music: All Star Tribute to Maze Featuring Frankie Beverly that was done by a bunch of R&B artists to Maze feat. Frankie Beverly. It’s pretty true to the original too.

I heard these both a couple months ago when Frankie Beverly was on the Steve Harvey show I think. Joe’s was aight.. His voice doesn’t move me. It’s just so ordinary. I loved Ledisi’s cover though.

You know I knew…this is probably my second favorite album of the year. Although I’d give The Clark Sisters the nod for best cut…Ledisi is right up there though.
