    • Coverage: Shanice Does Beyonce’s “Halo”

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Aug 7, 09

      Shanice DID THIS.

      *falls out*

I mean, why isn’t she putting out music and murdering these charts? I just don’t get it!

Sure, her faces are hilarious, but who cares LOL. That voice is still golden. I got to deal with Mariah singing about hitting skins with Eminem sounding like a hoarse contralto, yet Shanice is banished to Youtube to show these hoe’s how it should be done? The world isn’t fair.

Them notes she hits…the emotion is just BUILT into her voice, I swear. Killed it. I love Youtube sometimes! Follow Shanice on Twitter. (@shaniceonline)

When she put out her last album she got largely ignored because she’s not out there slutting it up and being a whore in her videos. Plus everyone knows she’s happily married with kids cause her hubby is in all her videos. Basically if you have talent but you not a media whore you get ignored. Some people are just to solid for the glitz and glamor smoke screen industry that is “whore business”

UGHH!! It really upsets me that ppl like her and Tamia and others who can SANG are so overlooked.. I mean, she killed that song. Beyonce’s version is okay, but wow.. hearing Shanice sing it really kind of points out how great of a singer Beyonce is not.

      3. August 7, 2009 Craver

There’s no denying she did her thing, I just wish she did a bit less, like calming down on all the runs and that *one* soprano note at the end. Other than that she definitely did a really nice job, I’d like to hear an official release tbh.

      4. August 8, 2009 Healthy Sisters Unite

It IS disgusting how people like her get pushed aside for people who only sing in tune with major help from autotune. One day music will go back to the way it should be. A pity these singers were born in the wrong era.

She’s not putting out music or “murdering these charts” because America doesn’t like actual talent. Seriously, they every little white girl has sung a note in her lifetime has a record deal and are successful.

      6. August 9, 2009 MzVirgo

She did this better than Beyonce and Beyonce should be shaking in her boots right now! Why isn’t Shanice in the studio?

      7. August 11, 2009 Ratchet

She did too much. Not as much as she did on “If I Were a Boy” thank the Lord JESUS, but too much. And her trying to force emotion into her face and delivery is just irritating: “HhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhHAY-LOW!”

      8. August 14, 2009 la--donya

I agree with MzVirgo times 100000! The emotion.. the originality..everything!
