Look at my Nippy!! She looks REALLY good in this photo. Her album cover shot makes her look old fashioned, wizened and reserved, while the above shot makes me think “I’m here to stunt all over you young hoes with my hot new Alicia Keys-penned single! TAKE THAT TAKE THAT!”
I must say — after listening to “Million Dollar Bill” a bit more, it has grown on me. Though I still stick by my original post. I may have been a little harsh, but overall, I’m starting to think that folks are doing the best they can with what they have. “Million Dollar Bill” is catchy enough, and the departure from all the tepid ballads she was releasing is enough to make me sit up and see what else this album might have. Though, I’m still not holding my breath!

I’ve heard it’s nothing groundbreaking, but not bad. I really kind of consider this as preparation for her next album.
More importantly, the thing that’s undeniable…she can be out of the spotlight for so long, gone through such a mess, yet she looks fierce as hell (yes, I used the word fierce, can I have my gay card now?) in those pictures. The album cover is very strong…exactly the images they need to be putting out there for this release.
It’ll do really well, but I hope she doesn’t tour. She should ease into it a bit more and let the demand stew a bit, then knock them with her next album and a huge (and expensive) tour.
