Music Video: Audio Push – “Teach Me How To Jerk”

More jerk music!

I’m into it LOL, and New Boyz are alright, but this song goes hard. I love that beat, love the production and all of it. The video is nice too.

It’s just real “energetic” and it really just makes you want to move I think. Audio Push is the latest attempt at the labels jumping on the bandwagon of “jerk music”. You know how that goes — something blows up, then everyone hops on board.

However, this group was written up in the L.A. Times and though they were scooped up by Interscope, they apparently have been active for a minute as dancers primarily. Don’t know if someone is ghostwriting their rhymes, but they immediately struck me as better than some of the other younger “jerk” rappers.

Michael Jackson Is Dead; Dick Gregory Is Going To Join Him.

Now, I respect Dick Gregory as the legend and whatnot that he is; but with his Moses game proper the way that it is, he might want to reconsider this!

Dick Gregory, long-time friend of the late Michael Jackson, announced Thursday that he will, “go on a fast on water only for 40 days until the truth is uncovered about the sudden death of Michael Jackson.”

“It’s hard on folks to lose a loved one, especially someone so young as Michael,” Gregory said in a statement. “All I pray for now is that the truth will be told about what happened and I don’t think it has been yet but people deserve to know.”

Gregory added: “There’s so much that has been kept secret under the pretense of what they call an ‘ongoing investigation.’”

The activist-comedian vowed to continue a daily prayer vigil and invited all those who loved the King of Pop to join him in prayer and meditation for the truth to come out. (Source)

Dick gonna collapse into a pile of dust, what with global warming and Jermaine Jackson’s hair products using up all the ozone.

Dude is 79; who’s gonna save his soul now? He better include Sweet Minty Jesus in that prayer vigil, call Pastor Kearney for a “pwersonal pwrayer pwackage” and call it done!

Amber Riley Busts Jazmine Sullivans’ “Windows” With “Glee”

HOW DOPE IS THIS!? ROFL! Oh man. I am so excited about Glee I’m not even gonna lie. Amber Riley, who stars in the show as Mercedes Jones, is a vocal powerhouse unto herself and gets to showcase that in this web-only promo spot for the show.

She takes “Bust Your Windows” to a whole other level, dancing and just twurking it out LOL! Watch out for the big girls! Cause I mean, Jazmine Sullivan…her performances tend to be a little boring. Amber took it and RAN with it.

Be sure to catch Fox’s Gleewhen it premiere’s September 9th! It’s a musical comedy show and they are going to be doing some great pop songs this upcoming season.

A few hours ago, the new video for Shakira’s new song “She-Wolf” premiered. Featured are some elements of Ciara’s “Love, Sex & Magic”, a new hairdo, BeyoncÃ©’s ‘Single Ladies’ leotard leftovers, Shakira’s signature moves, lots of sexy body language, even more leotards, and a “giant fancy sparkly organ cave Shakira’s busting it in”.

Music Video: Joell Ortiz – “Food For Thought”

Sponsored/spotted at Nah Right. I love the treatment, and I’m really becoming a fan of Joell Ortiz. I’ve posted some of his stuff before, and now that I think about it, I’ve been listening to more music featuring him.

Is it me or does he sound like Ghostface Killah, just that he makes sense when he raps? LOL.

I am very happy to present the second installment of Nah Right and Restless Films â€œOne Shotâ€ series of one-take videos by the esteemed Court Dunn. This particular clip is special to me not just because Joell is one of my favorite artists doing it today, but because this track was recorded specifically for the Nah Right x Cooking Soul album, 1:00 A.M. & Rising. I don’t know if anyone watches Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, but he’s been on this kick to reunite the cast of Saved by the Bell.

That’s all and good, but I just want to know what Lifetime Movie Network secretarial pool they dragged Lark Voorhies out of! LISA TURTLE FOR THE WIN!

I mean, I don’t think I care about the other ones, though they have all aged pretty well. LOL. Even Mr. Belding has said he’d be down. You know Screech ain’t about to get in on that though! Drama!

Chris Tucker…who acts whenever the hell he wants to…and didn’t he get like $100 million or some randomly huge number to do Rush Hour 3…this nikka about to get Wesley Snipe’d! You know The Man ain’t playing with us black celebs and these taxes, especially in this recession.

AND CALIFORNIA? They might send Ahnold to nikka-knock on Chris’ front door, Terminator style LOL!

Actor Chris Tucker owes the state of California about $3.6 million in back taxes, according to the Detroit News, which has been putting Uncle Sam-owing celebs on blast for the past two weeks. The state reportedly filed a $3,594,409 lien against Tucker on June 24 for four years worth of unpaid taxes, the newspaper reported. (Source)

Classic Flashback: Tevin Campbell – “Tell Me What You Want Me To Do”

Man, this is one of my favorite Tevin Campbell songs, because the lil’ negro sang his face off on this Narada Michael Walden-produced joint.

I don’t think I’d ever seen the video and I forgot he was fond of blazers and jeans ROFL. That looks like the same outfit he wore on that episode of “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, I swear. And the female lead…with that wig…and them mom jeans! OMG, we should have known Tevin wasn’t straight when this video came out…

After seeing on the BET Awards, I still can’t believe his voice sounded as good as it did. Yeah for preservation!

I’m a SA-RA fan, have some of their released and unreleased music. Apparently they have a new album out called Nuclear Evolution: The Age of Love and I apparently can’t keep up!

This is their cover of a Sly Stone song “Just Like A Baby”. It’s a pretty funkdafied yet true to the original version and it’s definitely worth a listen/download. Cop their latest album if you haven’t. One of my favorites of theirs is the Bilal-sung “Hollywood”.

I randomly have some other MSTRKRFT songs, but I am a sucker for Electro influenced or mashed-up songs and this one featuring John Legend fits the bill. The video is a lil crazy but not that bad, though I did think that was one of the Jonas Brothers. The song is pretty dope though and I am definitely able to get into this.
