    • This Is Gangsta, Sorry.

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Apr 17, 08

      Body Shop

Dame Anita Roddick, founder of The Body Shop empire, didn’t leave her children a penny of her $100 million fortune, according to her will, which was published yesterday.

The gross value of the charity-conscious cosmetics entrepreneur’s estate at the time of her death was revealed to be $1,310,796, but the entire sum was liable for inheritance tax on donations she’d made to friends and family shortly before her death, leaving her net worth at zilch.

Roddick died from a brain hemorrhage at 64 on September 10 last year and was intent on donating her vast fortune to campaigns supporting the environment, human rights and the relief of Third World debt. (Source)

      I’m sorry….THAT’S GANGSTA.

Sure, she gave it to charity or whatever, but they didn’t get NOTHING?

Man, if that was my momma, I’d be jumping in the casket screaming “TELL ME YOUR PIN CODE MOMMA! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!??!?”

      Shoot, we in a recession.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming. LOL.

LOL i dont blame you id be doing the same thing.
Those kids must be sooooo mad.

“My momma is worth a 100 mil and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.” You just know one of her kids wore that shirt to the funeral!

      3. April 18, 2008 Stardancer2008

Just because she was their mama didn’t mean that she had to give them one red cent. I noticed a lot of millionaires and billionaires not leaving their kids any money once they die.

Better put that money away while the folks are alive, boo!

      4. April 18, 2008 Dr.so.over.it

i think these billionaires/millionaires are taking note of these spoiled brat idiot kids, i.e. Paris Hilton and re-thinking their wills. used to be that they could count on their kids to take the reins of their businesses and keep the money and power in the family, but that’s not the case anymore. seems they would rather just run around sayin “that’s hot” or get their pic taken at every club possible. it that’s how her kids were? i ain’t even mad!

      5. April 18, 2008 bri

but if you cant leave anything to your children because they are spoiled brats….whose fault is it but THE PARENTS! i know plenty of rich kids that are not spoiled at all, and still treat people with respect because their parents raised them right, and i also know some spoiled ass kids from poor homes, the reason of them being poor is the fact that their pennies are spent on their kids.

      6. April 18, 2008 Starla

LOL!!! The pin code comment had me rofl. Maybe they didn’t treat her right towards the end.

      7. April 18, 2008 Miss Milya

Yeah, the pin code comment had be dying too…IPS you are a damn fool; nosenseatall!

      8. April 18, 2008 mzvirgo

LMAO @ the pin number comment.

I’ll bet she did what most rich people do when they die, leave it all to their dog or cat.
