      The Carter III

How huge will it be? Tha Carter III just came out Tuesday morning, so it’s difficult to tell from less than a day’s worth of sales, but an exec at Lil Wayne’s label estimates the disc will sell between 850,000 and 950,000 by the end of its first week. If their numbers are correct, that would be about double the opening figure for 2008′s current record-holder, Mariah Carey’s E=MC2, which opened with 443,000 copies. “The accounts were bullish by 10 in the morning,” reports Pat Monaco, exec VP of sales for the Universal Motown Republic Group. “The sales the first few hours were exceeding the rate that the Kanye album sold a year ago.” (That one ended up selling 957,000 the first week; nothing has come close since.) “Wayne was one of these records that, because it was so highly anticipated, with the leaks and everything, it caused more people to go out at 8 in the morning to buy the CD.” (Source)

      WHO IS BUYING THIS ALBUM!?

I don’t believe them, they need more people.

EVERY black person I KNOW has said that this album is trash. Every.last.one. I haven’t even bothered to crack the RAR file yet LOL. I mean, I’m no Wayne fan in general, but after all the negative feedback I’ve gotten, I don’t even want to bother. I’d rather listen to SopeHarmony cover “Chocolate Rain”. No thanks.

But almost a million units? More than Kanye!? Oh man, I hope Kanye don’t find out. He’s gonna spazz out on Good Morning America or something, start ransacking Virgin Megastores claiming aliens are behind this latest plot to tarnish his amazing career. LOL!

I think Baby went and bought 200K copies alone because he knew if he didn’t, Wayne wouldn’t give him any sugar tonight.

      Let me quit.

WHO BOUGHT THIS? Let me know. And I want to know WHY and please defend yourself LOL.

I was kinda feeling the colabo with JayZ, but once I really listened to it, it was just OK. Even the song with Robin Thicke was just OK. I’ll pass, I can listen to it for free, but still pass!

I bought it. I support decent artistry. I believe that a lot of songs that were leaked that didnt even make it onto the “Leak” should have been on there, but hey, w/e.

*****I DIDN’T BUY THE CD, BUT I HAVE THE CD (THANKS PISSED OFF DJ).

ANYWHO, MOST OF THE SONGS ON THE ALBUM ARE WACK. I LOVE ‘A MILLI’ AND ‘DR. CARTER’ THOUGH. BUT THE OTHER ONES, I LISTENED TO THE FIRST 10-15 SECONDS, FAST-FORWARD TO THE MIDDLE AND CLICK TO THE NEXT SONG BECAUSE I’M NOT FEELING THEM.

BUT MAYBE HE RAN OUT OF GOOD STUFF TO PUT ON HIS ALBUM BECAUSE HE DOES LIKE 50-11 MIX TAPES AND AIN’T GOT NO MORE MATERIAL.

I STILL LOVE HIS SWAG. KISSES*****
