 Classic! I am excited about the Labelle reunion! They just don’t do vocals like this anymore, so me being a vocals fan, I’m just hoping Patti, Nona and Sarah bring it for us. Who can forget the remake in 2001? That was when Pink was still “black” and Lil’ Kim didn’t look like The Cat Woman. *pours out liquor* I liked that too.

Lol, I was too distracted by the rhythmless YT people to pay much attention to Patti.
I have to laugh because when I used to sing this as a kid, I would always say “be your lady mama lod.” When I got a little bit older, I was confused by people calling it Lady Marmalade because I never heard anything in the song that sounded like “marmalade”.
And believe me, a greedy fat kid knew what some marmalade was and knew how it should’ve been pronounced.

You know, I was just thinking yesterday that we don’t have any really great singers nowadays. Yes, we have some good performers out there but none that I think will be talked about 20 years from now. Where are the modern day Patti’s, Stevie’s, Luther’s and Marvin’s? Where’s the kind of music that puts a smile on your face like Sam Cooke, Bill Withers or Jeffrey Osborne?
And if anyone says Beyonce, Chris Brown, Rihanna or Ciara, I will beat your ass with a garden hose. Well, first I’m going to steal my neighbor’s hose ’cause a bitch too cheap to buy her own and then I’m going to beat your ass.
I’m going to listen to me some Luther Ingram right damn now!
