    • All They Are Missing Is Queen Pen!

Written by The IPS in Blogs on Jul 8, 08

AHHH THIS JOINT STILL GOES HARD YO!  *turns it up*

Someone please hit me on my pager if it’s major because the 90′s are back!

Someone please send out a text message to Charli Baltimore, she missed her train by 2 minutes. This is what happens when you don’t close out your register at Duane Reade fast enough Charli! You miss all the good ish! Sole’ must not have been paying her dues to the Union either, LOL.

It ain’t quite ladies night, but it sure is close enough. Lady of Rage, Lady Luck, Babs Bunny, and Amil will partner together, led by Ed Lover and Uneek (manager to Babs and Luck), to form F.E.M. (Females Earning Money Movement). The group is working on a mixtape to be released soon hosted by DJ Doo Wop. Rah Digga is scheduled to appear on the project. “This is the perfect time to do a project like this,” Ed Lover said in a statement. “A lot of people have been wondering what happened to the female emcees, well these ladies are about to prove that they are here and they are better than ever. The F.E.M. movement is great for the future of hip-hop.” (Source)

I tried to come up with a funny play on “Females Earning Money” but that ish is already corny and bad enough so I’ll let that one go.

I think out of all of them, I’d STILL thump Lady of Rage’s “Afro Puffs” and maybe Rah Digga’s “Party & Bullshit” version that dropped a while back. That joint was kind of crunk. Other than that, Amil can go back to her shift at Wal-Mart she came from and Babs Bunny can go back to cleaning the glass at the Bad Boy offices with Cheri Dennis! I nominate Lil’ Mo to sing hooks. “The Godmother of R&B/Hip-Hop Soul” or whatever the hell she was calling herself could use the work too. LOL.

I wonder what Khia has to say about this! These chicks coming for your spot Khia! You mad? *(sarcasm)* All these chicks collecting their 15 minutes of fame don’t even add up to an hour — more like 39.67 minutes LOL.

I’m all for female rap, but come on…I was just listening to Queen Latifah’s “U.N.I.T.Y.” until I had flashbacks of her on that Game remix *shudders*

Female rappers = a wrap!? Speak on it! Would you buy this? Who are you real favorite femcees?

I’m with you IPS… Lady of Rage and Rah Digga, welcome back… the rest of them..

Now, if they did get Queen Pen and Charli Baltimore… I would definitely have to listen in for some laughs and funtimes.

What… no shout out from Ed Lover to Reece Steele (of VH1 Miss Rap Supreme fame?) I know she needs a friend.

      3. July 8, 2008 yeah

That Jean Grae & 9th Wonder – Jeanius album was supposed to drop today…I’ll support her, maybe Ms. Jade…she was not that bad but the rest….?

Nah it’s not a wrap for them. My all time favorite female mc would have to be L. Hill. Why don’t we have more female mc’s. And why do the good female mc’s get put back on the dusty shelf so quickly. I was ready for more rah digga, the boss, and that chick that came out under Timbaland that did that song with pastor troy….well you know what i mean…Basically i look foward lil mama, eve, kid sister, mc lyte,,,and if yo yo got back in the studio i def aint mad about it. I just wish we would stop putting to great femcee on the shelf.

Queen Latifah – I wish she would quit singing and do another rap album!

MC Lyte – I wish she would stop commentating and pick up the microphone to spit some hot fire!

Da Brat – She’s been out of the loop so long I don’t know if she can do it anymore – but I’d sure like to see her try!

Monie Love – I still stan for Monie in the Middle..

Ms Melody – She needs to pick up the mic and a Weight Watcher application – but I’d still bump her!

Nikki D – What the hell happend to HER?!

Yo Yo – stop trying to find the best female rapper and get on the mic damnit!

Roxanne Shante – Okay so she was no great rapper, but her keen business sense got that girl a couple of degrees!

Remember Sylk E Fyne with her single Romeo & Juliet?? LOL – I just threw that one in for reminiscing purposes!!
