We Not Dead

Hey everyone, just a quick update. We aren’t dead — I’ve just been snowed in for a whole week (with pay, holla!) but with no internet at my disposal, which equals = no blogging LOL.

Right now I’m stealing wi-fi…from someone…don’t know who…

But all that to say that A) It’s about to be my birthday and B) I’m on vacation and C) Not sure when I will get the ‘Net (that bill is toooooo expensive right now) LOL so stay tuned.

Like I always say, “when in a recession!”

And with that, I chuck the dueces and send up a prayer to Sweet Minty! I’ll be back faster than Frankie to an open bar LOL.

Just letting you know that I’m sick with whatever is going around and also simultaneously performing in a 3 day musical performance here in my home town that I’ve been in rehearsals for all week.

Lil’ Wayne To Be Documented…

Does this mean they are documenting his arrival to the planet Earth since he is a Martian? His words, not mine!

I mean, I guess if in 2009 a Black man can be President then a Martian can be crowned the greatest rapper alive.

Anyway, QD3 does all the hip-hop video releases and what not. I want to know if anyone would really rent this? I couldn’t imagine sitting at home, popping in a DVD about Wayne and just…watching it. If I wanna see crazy, I’d rather watch Amy Winehouse and her amazing “let’s ignore the crackhead and JAM!” backup dancers shuck and jive through a sky-high performance “Rehab”. Now THAT is some awesomeness that can never be deemed a waste of time in my eyes.

Wayne roll around on the ground and talk about how he was writing songs about wanting head at 8 and hear his Guitar 101 picking? No thanks! I’d rather rent “Pootie Tang”. They talk about the same anyway LOL.

Keyshia Cole Singing A Capella Is Always Iffy…

ROFL @ her looking like this on national television…I swear, one day she looks good enough to eat, the next…well. Yeah. All I know is that at the end when she leaned back and was holding that note & shaking the body Patti LaBelle style is that her lady lumps were just prominently displayed LOL. And I think that was the best part about this video.

Keyshia should NEVER sing without a pitch pipe, she inevitably gets off during one of her fantastic melismas. Let it goooooooooooooooo.

Did ya’ll see the diva hand!? And so it begins LOL…

OK, I think this is officially the equivalent of walking down Hollywood Blvd. in fishnets and a blonde wig to pay the rent and get a can of Vienna Sausages. This is just NOT RIGHT.

Hawking McNuggets to get 50 more album purchases? Keith, you are better than this. Why doesn’t he just go whine and make a boxset with some new songs or something…I know some 50+ year old women who would throw their panties at him if he came and performed at the local hair salon. True story. Of course, they are all morbidly obese. From eating McNuggets.

This McDonald’s negroidian campaign has gone too far.

THEY GOT OJ! START A PRAYER LINE TO THE RIGHT –>

Take the shackles off his feet so he can dance and do da Heisman on dat Devil! (Sorry I couldn’t resist…LOL)

The court has spoken and OJ is going to jail ya’ll. He will probably be in on lockdown for the rest of his adult life. YT people everywhere are rejoicing and I am sure my alma mater is locking up all his memorabilia just in case and breaks out and feels grabby again to pay his legal bills, or light bills…

The Juice was sentenced to at least 15 years in prison, with possibility for parole in like, 9 years. DANG. Orenthal James is 61-years old. He will be at least 70 before he can even THINK about getting out.

That’s messed up. I mean, dude was wrong…but that’s messed up for him!

I’m gonna go pour some Tropicana for the homie.

That just shows you that we are all one bad decision away from being locked up…be careful ya’ll! All that and he still ain’t get his stuff!

Brandy…*sigh*…Live Performance from “Today Show” of Right Here (Departed)

Wow, this performance is so bland.

And they slowed the song down EVER MORE.

Case in point — I’m chillin’ at mom’s house (free wi-fi and food, you hatin’?) and she walked by randomly and was like, “Umm I don’t like that. I liked her singing better when she was a baby.” ROFL

That’s what I am saying, if you aren’t really a Brandy STAN, I don’t think this is the album you will buy to get introduced. I have a theory — there are some songs you sing and write for others and some that you sing and write for yourself. I am starting to feel like for Brandy, this album and it’s material falls into the latter and not the former.

But this performance is just so…yikes. I didn’t even want to watch it to the end. Talk about phoned in…band, backgrounds, lead vocals and all.

This is slightly old but I can’t stop watching it and I just HAD to post it. I wrote a remix too, with a shoutout to the town I currently reside in, P-Town, 503 LOL.

I think T-Baby was robbed at the Grammy’s this year. Jazmine Sullivan over T-Baby!? No contest, I’ve sung this song more than I’ve sang “Bust Ya Windows” that’s for sure!

ALERT: Beyonce’ NOT The Star of “Cadillac Records”?

I keep hearing that Beyonce’ really ISN’T the star of the upcoming “Cadillac Records”, which hits theatres Friday. You’d never know though from the trailers and movie posters. Though obviously, since she executive produced it, she’s going to get top billing regardless of how much she is really in the movie…

People keep telling me that in fact, she’s only in about the last 20 minutes of the movie!

I know a couple of my friends REALLY didn’t even want to see the movie because they don’t like Beyonce’s acting, and they were thinking that she was in the whole movie. And a whole movie of Beyonce’ acting is akin to watching 100 hours of her zestlestans (zesty + stans) doing her “Single Ladies” dance steps on Youtube.

Then there are her stans who are mad because she ISN’T the star of the movie and is only in the last 20 minutes.

Quite honestly, I’m going for the music and it ain’t like Beyonce’ sounds BAD singing ANYTHING. Is it really that deep? Who else is going to check out “Cadillac Records” tomorrow? I’ll be there to find out.
